Posted February 07, 2018 04:19:28When Citadel opened in Canada in 2017, it was billed as a new way to bring high-end luxury outlets to the market, but the first few weeks have proven a lot of people wrong.
The chain’s website is still down and the service has been limited to just a handful of outlets in the Greater Toronto Area.
Now, it’s finally making its way to New York City, where it will be joined by two other outlets, one in the Bronx and one in Brooklyn.
While the Bronx outlet has been shut down, its Brooklyn outlet is open and you can check it out at any time.
It’s only available in Manhattan but it seems like it should be a great place to check out if you’re in the area.
The Bronx outlet is not the only one opening up in New York, with outlets popping up in Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island.
We know the chain has had a few issues in Canada, but its opening up to the country seems to be the right move for its future.
Citadel is owned by billionaire businessman David Einhorn, and it’s not the first outlet chain to open up in the country, but this is the first one to open in New Jersey, and the first to open on a city-wide scale.
We’ve reached out to Citadel to learn more about its launch and we’ll update if we hear back.
We’ll be back with more on this new outlet chain in the coming days.
